Running

Random motivation always works best for me. enjoy!
This song means so much to me, there have been so many moments when i'm ready to be done, it's to much. But then i remember that giving up not what i'm supposed to do, I have to just stand. "Rise and rise again, until the lamb becomes the lion"
Cause when push comes to shove
You taste what you're made of
You might bend, till you break
Cause its all you can take
On your knees you look up
Decide you've had enough
You get mad you get strong
Wipe your hands shake it off
Then you Stand, Then you stand
Life's like a novel
With the end ripped out
The edge of a canyon
With only one way down
Take what you're given before its gone
Start holding on, keep holding on

  1. Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to keep trying, and the childlike spirit to have fun along the way. Run often and run long, but never outrun your joy of running.
  2. Toward the end of my run, I came to the conclusion that I really appreciate the steps taken to reach goals. I honor the work, I like the journey, I cherish the results, but I always find something in the end result that enlightens me. In every preparation there is a lesson to be learned. With every lesson, I'm inspired to try again for a better result.
  3. I love that place where you get in running where you're just never out of breath and you just feel like you could go forever. I love that. I love feeling strong.
  4. Running! If there's any activity happier, more exhilarating, more nourishing to the imagination, I can't think what it might be.
  5.   Running is about finding your inner peace, and so is a life well lived.
  6. I love what running does for me. I love the time that I get just to think. I love that I'm pushing myself be it on a treadmill or in the park. I love that time.
  7. Running has taken me in, and continues to comfort, heal and challenge me in all kinds of magical ways. I am not a 'good runner' because I am me. I am a good 'me' because I am a runner.
  8. The real purpose of running isn't to win a race; it's to test the limits of the human heart.
  9. Thank God for running. It is the ultimate detox for me, whether my poison is bubbles, a foul mood, or a bad attitude. If I combat inertia, get out, and get moving, eventually every kind of toxin works its way out.
  10. We run, not because we think it is doing us good, but because we enjoy it and cannot help ourselves
  11. That's the thing about running: your greatest runs are rarely measured by racing success. They are moments in time when running allows you to see how wonderful your life is.
  12. It is very rewarding to feel and see progress. I am going to put my head down and keep plugging away. I believe the best is yet to come.
  13. It is wonderful that life continues to challenge and define us, great that there is always more to strive for and assuring that we will always grow from these experiences so the future will be better still.
  14. Whenever you have any bump in the road, whether it's two weeks or two years, there are so many naysayers. Let it fuel you. Don't take it personally. Go out and prove them wrong.
  15. The challenge in running is not to aim at doing the things no one else has done, but to keep doing things anyone could do—but most never will.
  16.    somewhere behind the athlete you've become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you, is the little girl who fell in love with the game and never looked back. . . play for her
  17.  Top results are reached only through pain. But eventually you like this pain. You'll find the more difficulties you have along the way, the more you will enjoy your success.
  18.  Running is ultimately a personal experience. It is a revival of the spirit, a private oasis for the thirsty mind. Yet, its healing power only increases in the presence of others. Run together and the oasis grows cooler and more satisfying.
  19.  Taking charge of your body can help you take charge of your life. And that power can help you go wherever you want to go, every single day.
  20. Running is a big question mark every day. It asks you: Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?
  21. Man is so made, that whenever anything fires his soul, impossibilities vanish.
    • It's a long, hard road and it's going to have its bumps; there are going to be times when you fall and times when you don't feel like going on anymore, times when you're just crazy tired but it takes focusing on that one step you're taking. That's what I'm trying to do with the marathon; I don't think about the miles that are coming down the road, I don't think about the mile I'm on right now, I don't think about the miles I've already covered. I think about what I'm doing right now, just being lost in the moment.
